As we all know well, Viagra works wonders in those men who have physical erectile dysfunction as a stand alone symptom but it doesn't help much in cases of mood swings, decreased sex drive, irritability and other symptoms characteristic for andropause. Note that Viagra is not an aphrodisiac, so it definitely won't help those who simply don't want to have sex.
Testosterone treatment, is claimed to restore full sexual potency in about six out of ten men experiencing andropausal symptoms, and increase sex drive in over nine out of ten men, which leaves about a third of all men whose minds are experiencing sexual desires but cannot perform any actions physically. This leads us to a very interesting question: what if we mix Viagra with testosterone therapy?
A study enrolling 100 men, aged 36-81, who have undergone testosterone therapy and failed to fully restore their sexual potency, Viagra restored full sexual performance in over 95 patients and also restored sexual drive in another 95 patients. Viagra alone doesn't increase libido physically but on the psychological level the ability and confidence in own sexual performance and erection is noted to give a huge boost for sexual desire. Furthermore, the Viagra dosage in men with history of testosterone therapy history was lower compared to men who haven't taken such a treatment, and the effects were reported to last for longer periods of time. The only negative side effect observed in the men mixing testosterone treatment with Viagra was a higher "flushing" rate that may be caused by the testosterone's ability to affect blood vessels, which start to dilate slightly.
The results obtained during this and other similar studies show individuals with andropause symptoms suffering from erectile dysfunction might consider testosterone treatment first for a course of three months. And if the treatment doesn't fully succeed in restoring sexual potency the lowest dose of Viagra can be considered for use. The statistics show clearly that combining these to treatments will promptly restore sexual performance.
